Dear Lorraine, Your post about Rosella's post encouraged me to look both of you up. Thanks for the tips. You sound like you are doing well. My surgery is September 12 and I'm on day three of the infamous skim milk diet...hope you are all recovered from ps...Cheers, Katherine

Lorraine, your kind and encouraging words on my surgery page are very appreciated. You have been on quite a journey (what a read!). It helps me so much to hear what those who have been through their surgeries have gone through and what appears to be normal and what does not. I wish you all the best. Take care.

Hi Lorraine, Thank you so much for your kind words. I just finished reading your profile and like my friend Traci (we know each other from our support group) said I would absolutely LOVE to see some pictures of yourself. It sounds like you have done wonderfully. I hope the results of your PS are as good as you hope. Take Care

Dear Friends~~~~Thank you all for you prayers and kind thoughts re: my recent surgery. I had an abdominoplasty and herniorraphy on 5/21 and came home on 5/22. For the first time in years, I am able to see the tops of my thighs when I am sitting. The plastic surgeon said he was able to remove 23 pounds of fat tissue and skin and that I would not see the real difference until all the swelling is gone. The swelling in my lower legs is totally gone at present from the sequential pressure boots you wear in the hospital. I was down 20 pounds this am. Just amazing. The belly pain is there but nothing horrible. The Vicodin does away with the discomfort but the nauseous feeling is no fun. I will post more to my profile once I am not so pooped. BY THE WAY, I no longer have a belly button--they could not restore the blood supply to it. I will have to start a support group for the Umbilically Challenged. Thanks Again. Be well, be happy, be blessed. XOXOXO Lorraine
