I ordered 2 dresses to wear to church and I got them in the mail today. I was wearing a womans size 30/32, now I am in a MISSES XL! I was so happy they fit that I cried. Just wanted to share with all of you.

October 26, 2002 Dear Angie: Welcome Home!!! I'm glad you're feeling better (than those first two days out from surgery). Remember to protect your staple line. Restrict portions to the size your surgeon recommended. Stop eating as soon as you 'feel' full or as soon as you have eaten the recommended portion size. Remember to eat slowly and chew thoroughly. Chew small bites of food well. Sip liquids between meals. Take 30 to 45 minutes to eat a meal. And, be reasured, as time go's by---it gets so much better! Sincerely, Lori Ann

Just a short note to let you all know that I am alive. I have been at home since Sunday evening. I just felt up to getting to the computer today though. I just want to say thank you to all of you who posted on my board. Thanks to Karen for calling, my mom enjoyed it. I will admit thefirst two days I wandered why I did this(pain talking), but now I am starting to feel a little better each day. Someone(I am sorry I dont remember who)sent me a note that said "nothing tastes better than being thin", and that is what I keep telling myself. Take care all and God Bless.

Hi. Angie. I hope your surgery went well. I wish you a speedy recovery. The first few weeks will be rough but always remember when you feel like you are in a rut or why did I do this, "THIS TO SHALL PASS" and it will and later down the road you will be glad you said that to yourself. I had my surgery 1yr. ago Oct. 09,2001 and I have lost 87 lbs. and I have no regrets. Good luck and keep us posted. Sheila

ANGEL DUTY ~j~ ~j~

Angie is doing well on her second day post-op. She was moved to a regular room. She had a little nausea and had just received some meds for it when I called her earlier today. She has some pain but the meds seem to control it. The staff was going to get her up to walk later today (I talked to her around 1 pm CST and just now got time to get online.) Her Mom and Dad are with her and I know that is a big comfort to her. Please take a moment to welcome Angie to the losing side of her WLS journey! I am so proud of you, ANGIE!!! LOVE & PEACE
