Hello all!!! I am 16 days post-op! 23 lbs gone as of my surgeon's visit at 12 days. I am feeling better each day, my main problem has been fatigue, but I have had no nausea or vomiting, Thank God! I have been cleared to return to work whenever I feel I have the stamina for it, preferably 3-4 hrs. a day, I hope to do this next week. I have to tell you that it was a difficult journey the first 48-72 hrs. The morphine did not agree with me - I had my gallbladder and spleen removed at the same time and I really regreted my decision those first few days. People speak about pain, but until you are the one experiencing it isn't the same. Once I got home it was a lot better, you get no rest at the hospital as we all know....I got so much support from my family!!!! My mom was with me all the time during the day and my 20 yr old daughter(God Bless her) cared for me in the evenings. One of my sisters stayed at the hopital during the first two nights and she was a blessing! Anyways, Thanks for your prayers and support! Will post again soon!!! Finally, less than 12 hours b/4 my surgery. Scheduled for 9:00 am @Baptist Hospital, Miami!!! I am set, I hope that I wake up tomorrow morning with the same peace that I have now. I have only hope for a new dawning! As I rode in the car today, I felt my arms against my stomach and I thought to myself "It's over!! This will never be again!!" I look forward to living normal, feeling normal, not having to squeeze between chairs as I did at dinner tonight! "It's OVER" I BEGIN NEW TOMORROW!! Thank You, Lord!!!! Love to you all! I just wanted to wish you all the luck in the world. I have my date set for Sept. 10th and will be having surgery in Tampa. Good luck and God Bless You...I will see you on the other side!

Well friends, one week from today I should be on the loosing side, God willing!!!!! I have so much to do still, I am so busy at work that I have not had the time to sign on to the site lately...I am anxious to make sure that everything is done by next Tuesday, surgery is scheduled for Weds. the 28th at 9:00 am. I really look forward to waking up!!!! Please if some one can tell me what I should have at home for my arrival from the hospital I would appreciate it. Otherwise, please keep me in your prayers...God Bless! You guys are an inspiration to me!
