Hi, Its me again. Today is my anniverary for 3yrs out. I'm so glad I had this surgery. I have done so many things in the last three years than the whole ten years I was fat. It's so great being able to live life than only to watch it on the sidelines. My only regret is not having this surgery sooner. I am down to 165,and plannig on getting my much needed tummy tuck this summer. Love Jeanine

HELLO EVERYONE, IT'S BEEN AWHILE SINCE I LAST POSTED. IT'S BEEN 6 MONTHS OUT NOW FROM SURGERY RNY. LOST 97 POUNDS. FEELING SO WONDERFUL FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE. I REALLY HAVE A PERSONALITY AND ITS STARTING TO SHINE. WAS ALWAYS SO SHY I HID BEHIND MY FAT. NOW I HAVE LOST ENOUGH THAT I FIT IN WITH THE CROWD AND NOT LIKE A SORE THUMB LIKE BEFORE. THIS SURGERY WAS ROUGH, BUT WELL WORTH IT, AND I WOULD DO IT IN A HEART BEAT IF I HAD TO DO IT AGAIN. MY ONLY REGRET WAS NOT HAVING THIS SURGERY YEARS AGO, SO MANY YEARS WASTED AND FOREVER GONE. NOW I HAVE 76 POUNDS LEFT TO LOSE. AND ENJOYING EVERY BREATH I TAKE. HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE AND GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!! LOVE JEANINE OSTROFF

HI IT'S ME JEANINE. I AM BACK. DIDN'T KNOW IF I WOULD SAY THAT AGAIN! WELL MY SURGERY WENT PRETTY WELL. I HAD NO REAL COMPLICATIONS TO SPEAK OF. THE SURGERY WAS ALOT WORSE THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE. I WAS PRETTY SICK WITH THE MORPHINE, SO THEY NEVER GOT ME UP TO WALK. JUST TO THE BATHROOM AND BACK. I WAS VERY EMOTIONAL, AND CRIED WHEN MY MOM CALLED. WONDERING WHY DID I DO THIS TO MY SELF. I CAME HOME ONE DAY EARLY. AND WAS GLAD I DID. THE HOSPITAL BEDS ARE HARD TO SLEEP ON. BUT AT HOME, I FOUND THE SAME PROBLEM. NEEDING HELP OUT OF CHAIRS, AND BEDS FOR AWHILE, NOT WANTING TO HURT THE STAPLES. GOT THE STAPLES OUT ON THE 10TH DAY. AND GOT WEIGHTED, WAS 307 AND NOW WAS 285.LOST 22 POUNDS, NOT TO SHABBY FOR ONLY 10 DAYS, I GUESS THIS SURGERY WASNT SO BAD AFTER ALL. EACH DAY GETS BETTER AND BETTER. I ALSO HAD A WONDERFUL ANGEL CHRISTA, SHE HELPED ME SO MUCH IN MY MOST EMOTIONAL TIMES IN THE HOSPITAL AND OUT. SHE HAS BECOME A REAL DEAR FRIEND, THAT I PLAN TO MEET SOMEDAY. IF I HADNT HAD CHRISTA I WOULD OF BEEN, SO MUCH WORSE OFF. THANK YOU CHRISTA, MY DEAR FRIEND, FOREVER. LOVE JEANINE

Dear Jeanie,Chin up.I had gallbladder surgery many years ago and I was feeling much the same as you, it was truly disgusting.But I am here to tell you there is hope,You will feel just a little better each day until it just creeps up on you that you fel pretty good and as the days go by you really will feel better! I pray Jesus will lay his healing hands on you and make you well, as I know he will.Try to be patient, that is a big part of it,Best wishes on a speedy recovery. Hi Christa Biondi with an update on Jeanine Ostroff. She was moved out of ICU Today so I was able to speak with her directly on the phone. She is going through the post surgery blues and feeling miserable...those of us that are post-op I'm sure can relate. She is feeling hungry but none of the food they are feeding her is appealing in the least bit. (once again I'm sure post-ops can relate) I tried to reassure her that it will get better. I was in her shoes less then 5 weeks ago and felt as though it was the worst decision I had ever made in my entire life and that is where she is at right now...I feel for her so very much! She is off all pain meds now which is absolutely unbelieveable!!! She is also expecting to be coming home on Friday. Again your prayers are still very much needed as we all know the mental pain of the surgery can by far out weigh the physical pain especially this soon after surgery...please stop by her page and show your support...Thank you and have a WONDERFUL NIGHT!
