Winona Memorial Hospital

"The care given by th permanent staff was wonderful but the temporary help left something to be desired."

Andrew Nigh

"Dr Nigh seems to be a very caring individual. I have only met him twice, both times on same day so my opinion of him has had no time to alter. The office staff at WinLife (Winona Hospital) bend over backwards to accomadate you. He led an instructional meeting to a group of 5 patients to help them to understand the surgery and gave the impression that no question was unimportant. After care is very crucial and he explained the importance of checkups and vitamins and all that good stuff. Exercise was also explained as a must if we want to succeed. Yes, he did addres the risks of surgery, that infections etc. can occur and Death has occured but not at Winona. So far, Dr Nigh has 100+% rating from me. Surgical competence is very important but it sure doesn't hurt if the bedside/personal manner is there. Takes away a lot of the stress. Again, I have only met the surgeon twice, so maybe my 100% great is off? "
