"I have my first appointment with Dr. Overcash on April 1, 2002. I am very excited, but am having insurance problems! I can't seem to get a straight answer from United Healthcare if this is a covered benefit...and keep getting different replies each time I call them...it is very frustrating because I know this is what I want!!! Keep your fingers crossed please!
UPDATE: I saw Dr. Overcash today. He is everything I have read about him here...upfront about the risks involved...and really stressed that this is an ELECTIVE surgery. I found his tone almost vaguely condecending when he said that diets are always the best choice to lose weight. Well, if they worked then I wouldn't be there with him! Overall I liked him very much..he seems confident and knowledgable. He answered almost all my questions even before I asked them! The best news is Patrice was able to get approval while I was in the office! You could have knocked me over with a feather! I have been scheduled for May 23rd!"
