Well, I survived, but almost didn't think I was going to for a while. I had my abdominal pannilectory on 10/26/2004, and I'm still home recouperating on 1/5/2005. I had complications, and a huge scar, but hopefully within a year my stomach will be completely flat, and if not the doctor says she can do a little liposuction on the lower abdomin to correct the skin that got stretched due to a large blood clot I had after the surgery. Boy, what a long story, and recovery, but things are on the upswing now. I think I'll wait a long time and get my immune system stronger before I attempt any more surgeries. I do want a boob lift, but it can wait; I'll jsut have to find a good new support bra. I will try and get some new photos on my web page sometime this year ;o).

I AM SO, SO EXCITED. I HAD AN APPOINTMENT WITH A PLASTIC SURGEON YESTERDAY, AND THINK THAT MY TUMMY TUCK MAY FINALLY BE APPROVED VIA INSURANCE!! YEAH!! IT WILL TAKE PROBALBY 4 MONTHS FROM NOW, BUT IT LOOKS LIKE IT MAY HAPPEN. I AM GOING TO TRY AND LOSE ANOTHER 15 TO 20 POUNDS EVEN THOUGH THE DOCTOR SAYS IT WON'T MAKE A DIFFERENCE; AND THAT IT'S ALL SKIN I HAVE LEFT (IN WEIGHT); I THINK I CAN TONE UP MORE IN THAT TIME. I'M SCARED OF MORE SURGERY, BUT EXCITED AT HAVING THESE TWO BELLY ROLLS REMOVED!! WAHOO!!

Desiree<br><p> You are too beautiful for that show. I saw the special on how they pick people and they basically said you have to be tore up from the floor up.<br><p> While you and I know the saggy baggy skin has to go, you are beautiful with or without it.<br><p> Have you tried the appeals process with your insurance company? If not I would be willing to assist you in anyway I can.<br><p> Another thought is to contact your nearest Medical School. They have five year resident plastic surgeons getting ready to graduate who operate with a veteran surgeon in the room ready to stand by and step in at any moment. The prices are much much cheaper.<br><p> Of course your other option is to get beat up with an ugly stick and then re-apply. I have a feeling that will not be happening any time soon.<br><p> I just wanted to tell you that you have accomplished sooo much and you are beautiful. Desiree please don't let those words get you down. Hopefully one day you can do as I did and laugh about it much later. What I mean is when my son was 3 we were driving back from the store and he point blank asked me when was I going to die so that he could have a younger mother. You talking about someone wanting to cry and die at the same time. Now I look back and realize that he didn't know any better and I can laugh about it with him. Keep your chin up you have lost a lot of weight and you are not fat anymore. Congrats on your weight loss. Best wishes to you.
