Hi Allison...Happy 1 year post op to you! What a day to celebrate! I'm sure you feel great as within a year to the day you took off 67 lbs and that's a big load off. I hope you continue to have much continued success.

Allison, Thank you for all your support through this. After my self centeredness and jealousy of earlier this year, you would have had every right to pull back and I would have completely understood. I am ashamed that I couldn't see the forest for the trees and didn't rise above and be the best friend I could have been at that time. You have listened as I get more and more nervous. I hope one day soon I will believe that this is happening to me and I can handle whatever comes my way. I love you and I am truly thankful that you are my best friend.

Allison is home and hopefully a bit more comfortable than when in the hospital.

I visited Allison today. She is a hurting pup! Jello and broth are going down smoothly and she expects to be discharged tomorrow. She is definitely on her way on the losing side! Congrats Allison!

Hi Allison, I hope everything is going well. The worst is over and every day will get better and better. Soon all your aches and pains will disappear and you'll be a new person. Welcome to the losing side. Take Care, Kelly*

I spoke with Allison this afternoon. She promptly asked if I got the information on the bus. (The one that she feels hit her.) Just like Allison to crack a joke to aptly describe how she is feeling. She told me her swallow test went so fast that she really didn't mind it. She isn't sure when she will be coming home; but, I hope it isn't before she is ready.

Allison was taken into surgery at 1 pm. I just received the call that she is in recovery (it's 5:30 pm). Dr. Boorse said the surgery went well. I will keep everyone updated.
