My story is not unique. Like most people seeking this surgery, I've struggled with my weight most of my life. I was a plump baby, a chubby girl and am a big woman. I'm changing that identity with this tool God has seen fit to give me.
Initially I was reluctant to try this. I can lose weight on my own was my thinking...but I've since learned that it doesn't hurt to admit when you need help. In this, I need help. I've successfully lost weight before; however, my pounds would go away but come back bringing friends. LOL
So it's been a yo-yo dieting type lifestyle, basically one of frustration. I have a few more letters/documents to submit to the Weight Loss Center before meeting with the surgeon/finding out about insurance approval. Until then, I wait. Now that I've actually made up my mind to proceed with surgery, I'm having a difficult time being as patient. I hope to have surgery by the end of this year, but it's not likely to happen....
