It's not easy to tell your own story.  I guess I will make this quick and not too boring.

I use to weight 135 lbs, healthy, a workaholic, and have a fabulous life.

Then in 1991, I was in a car accident where three cars ran into the back of my car while i was sitting at at red light.  I came out of it with neck and back injuries, couldn't work, had to quit my job, lost property I was buying....everything ended for me.

Over the next years, I went into a depression.  I developed agoraphobia (fear of open spaces), diagnosed with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) much like someone who went to war and came back with this, but mine was a fear or cars.  I was always looking for that next accident.  I was on my way to recovering when........................

In 1998, I had another car accident when a semi-truck driver decided he wanted to go to sleep behind the wheel.  Again, a few broken ribs and my lower back injured.

You're probably saying - gosh, I do not want to ever ride in a car with her - but even after 1998, I had another accident, but it was a slight one.

I have been in 8 car accidents over my lifetime -- NONE MY FAULT.

Am I safe to ride with?  Sure, as long as the other people do what they are supposed to do when driving and that is to drive safe.

So over all these years and depression, I gained weight.  I'd lose it here and there, then gain it back again.  I have all these health issues and I hope that this surgery will give me back my life and my health that I once had.

So that is a glimpse of my story.  Not a fun time, but hey, I always survive.  I think I am like a cat - I have 9 lives -- oh but wait, that would mean I would only have one life left - and I guess that is what I am starting to live now -- to the FULLEST!
