my view of the gym...

Yesterday I realized how funny it is how people really emphasize working out and doing certain things for cardio, weightlifting, aerobics, etc when in reality everyone "works out" on a daily basis without really trying, walking to your car, cooking meals, walking around your house, housework, yard work, grocery shopping, chasing kiddos around, having sex...everything you do burns calories! So as long as you stay active throughout the day, don't kick yourself in the ass for not hitting the gym! I know in this hot weather I get up and do things and usually break a sweat and it feels just as good! and in cold weather, when your outside you burn even more calories because body works harder to stay warm. Of course hitting the gym and doing what your "supposed" to do definitely helps and you lose weight faster and helps you tone as you go! So don't let the media, society or people you know get to you and allow yourself to feel bad for not working out. I would rather make sacrifices and do what I can at home and around mine and my familys schedule and be with my family, instead of having my other home at the gym where my family is not. But I am definitely not knocking down the gym and I respect those who are dedicated!
