Hello. It is one night and 5 short days until my surgery. I am nervous and excited. I had a failed lap band surgery that was removed back in 2008 due to slippage I chose not to have repaired. I lost 80 lbs those four months but was not able to keep down any solid food for the last three of them. I hope that I can eventually eat with this surgery. Also, my gall bladder was removed during the Lab band debacle. This gave me chronic diarrhea for 3 years. I seem to have that under control with lactose free milk, probiotics, and diet change. I chose DS because of the minimal restriction and maximum weight loss. Also, I hurt my back in Dec. 2011 and have been struggling with chronic lower back pain. I know what I have in store more or less. I just hope that eventually I will be loving my post DS Life.
