Made my SHBP selection and went with Cigna. I am so excited I will get to have surgery in 2011. I met requirements of physician monitored weight loss 6 month monitoring. I continue to see doctor to make sure that my vitamin levels is normal because I want to be in the best shape possible before I have surgery. I have set myself a goal to lose 10lbs by December 23 2010 and have my weight down to 286 that would keep my BMI right at 50 till I get my approval letter. My insurance require that my BMI be at least a 50 for DS surgery otherwise they will not do DS and I would get stuck with RNY which I do not want. RNY is great for some people but I do not think it is surgery for me. I am so excited and can not wait till I have surgery. I have been though hell in 2010 so 2011 is my year.
