Hello,
I have been overweight most of my life. Finally tired of it, I decided to have gastric bypass sugery.
I first went through the process in 2007, but was denied by my insurance company, I appealed the decision a couple of times, but got nowhere. Then in summer of 2009, I was diagnosed with Diabetes type II. That was the wake up call I needed. I decided to go through the process again and got approved for the gastric bypass.
However, due to complications during surgery (I believe my surgeon said it was because my diaphragm being in the way) I had VSG surgery instead on 04/07/10. Since it wasn't my plan to have VSG, and I don't know much about it. I joined OH for tips, ideas, and encouragement.
