Well, I decided to have the DS instead of the LapBand..I have really thought long and hard on all three of the surgery, and came to the conclusion that the DS was right for me...I will more and likly travel out of Florida to Georgia to have my surgery done by Dr. Smith, I think that is his name...He has many years of experiance behind him with doing the Lap DS, I feel more comfortable with him...My mom has backed out of the RNY for next month...I have tried to talk her back into it, but i'm not having any luck with it...My Dad isn't helping her any either...He refuses to let her have now since she backed out, I told him that he wasn't being very fair or supportive...I know know anymore, I'm so afraid I will lose her if she doesn't have WLS..All's I can do is pray that the Lord helps her make her mind up and my dad's...As for me, I'm not gonna be able to use my medicaid to pay for it, i'm hoping my husband finds him a job really soon that has insurance so that I can pay for it that away...With the Lord's blessing it will happen..We will see hopefully soon...:)
We are planing on moving to Virginia next summer, there is a really good DS doctor up there too..So we'll see...

I can't believe it. My medicaid share of cost will pay for everything. The only thing i have to pay for is the therapist. I'm soo happy. My mom's paperwork was already sumitted yesterday so they lady said it could take about 3 weeks to hear back from medicare and medicaid, but that there should be no problems with it. I'm so excited. I feel scared and nervouse, at the same time happy and excited to get my life back. It's been 11 yrs since I was under 200 lbs. and that was for only a 6 mos weighing 165, i had just lost from 219 to 165 when i met my husband. That was in 1998. I can't wait to be able to run around the yard with my kids, to be able to ride roller coaster rides at disney with my kids. But, most of all i want to be healthy. For my mom, i can't wait to see her be able to go grocery shopping and clean house again. She can't do none of those things anymore because of her weight getting in the way. I will be having my surgery at SHANES hospital with Dr. Ben-David. I'm soo happy. I can't wait to have a consult, with him. I go to the seminar Nov. 10th. I will post some more later on this.

Okay so today i've made a decision to start a new life for myself. To learn how to eat healthy and lose this weight the safe way, i'm starting the atkins and will post my progess on here. It's not gonna be easy but i will do this. i have faith in myself. I just hate eating veggies, but i will. My goal is to drop down to 150lbs. Right now i weigh 303 lbs. so i have alot to lose and i will do it. If that fails then i'll look more into the WLS. I've tried other diets but they never worked but i hoping the Atkins will. Updateing everyday will help me keep going.
