This always feels sorta weird to me...  oh well, Ill give it a shot.

I have never, ever, in my whole life been skinny.  I have been very athletic.  However, even while playing basketball I was a solid 175-180.  I am 5"6' tall.

I hung out around 275 for most of my adult life, after having kids.  I was big, but active and happy.

I had a major back injury in Nov 2011 that left me unable to walk for 6 weeks, and a very long road back to mobility.  At the same time I was diagnosed with an Atrial Septal Defect in my heart, and had to have that repaired.

I got a little down on life, and gained about 75 pounds.

My highest weight is 342, at least the highest I ever recorded.  I began thinking about WLS about a year ago, but really wanted to not "take the easy way out".

I have decided that I deserve to have every tool available to me to really have a shot at regaining my life.  I am tired of sitting on the sidelines and watching everyone else have fun and LIVE.

So, I am at the start of my journey and I sure am prayerful that it is successful!
