I Have A Date!!

Got a call this morning from Dr. Mejias' office, and I'm approved!!!  I was a faster-than-normal approval time, and I am shocked... but ecstatic!  My date is Tuesday, May 4, 2010.... a short five weeks from tomorrow!!  I could have chosen an earlier date, but I need to have enough time to lose the required 20 pounds preop.  I've been transitioning myself to a liquid diet by drinking EAS twice daily with a normal dinner.  I've gotten lax about it though, and didn't do it at all on the weekends.  The first week I lost 4 lb, but I'm sure that my lack of committment has allowed that to come rushing back.  It seemed so far away in the future that it hardly seemed real.  Well, just like the other areas of life, reality has come to me with a slap in the face, and I see that it is time to get way beyond serious, and get these 20 lb off so that I can begin the next phase of my life.  I'm so excited!!  I'm so spastic today that I've worked myself into an explosive headache!!  I'm trying to take deep breaths and calm down.  Oh... and I am DEFINITELY about to move all the Easter candy out of my room... for SURE!!
