"Dr. Tersigni is not my original surgeon that did my lapband. However, he took on my case and is going to revise me from band to sleeve! I met him one time and he was nice. He joked that he was going to leave my port in me as a "souvenir." haha
Dr. Tersigni helped me with my appeal to my insurance company by participating in a peer to peer review and speaking on my behalf via phone to a panel of doctors at my third level appeal. I finally won on an external review. I hope to have more positive things to report about Dr. Tersigni after my surgery!
Update after surgery: Dr. Tersigni was able to remove my band and revise me to a VSG in one surgery. I have had no complications at this point (2 weeks out). My only "complaint" is that he is very quiet and I was only able to talk to him for a brief moment before surgery and when he checked on me post surgery in the hospital. I am looking forward to checking in with him at my first pre-op appt.
