Feeling Better

Nov 20, 2010

I am doing much better since I last posted here. I had my ablation surgery and it went very well. I am feeling a lot better and am no longer bleeding. My sleep studies are done and I am now tackling the CPAP machine. It is very challenging sleeping with a mask every night, but I know it is for my own good. Every time I put the mask on I think that it is only temporary. After surgery, my weight loss will cure my sleep apnea.
I am still going to my required WW meetings, but not really trying very hard. I am learning a lot and it is making me more aware of what I put in my mouth, but I am not losing very much. I was down 8 lbs, but the week of my surgery I put back on 3. I feel like this type of program is pointless for me. I am fighting a losing battle against my own body. My hormones and insulin are so out of wack, my body can't lose weight unless I starve myself and work out for hours a day. I am coming to the realization more and more every day that the WLS surgery is the answer. I am looking foward to possibly having to buy smaller clothes this time next year.
