I am 59 years old female and had my revision to a RNY bypass on 10/28/14. my last surgery was in 2007 and was a VBG. For 7 years I had endured vomiting and developed extreme GERD. I was up and down with what I can or can not eat. Most of the time I always blamed myself, but after a year of really sticking to the program it seem no better. My worst enemy was myself going back to the Doctors as I was suppose to. My final decision was when I was out to Lunch, I ate a pan seared scallop on salad and it wasn't going down and as the fluid proceeded to fill up the esophagus and then running to the ladies room twice. I said enough. Revision time. My biggest decision was what step to take next. I proceeded to the Doctors, counselor, dietitian and many web sites. I must say after reading many heroic entries on this site I made my decision. Now I believe in myself that I can succeed this time. It is hard to remember to drink, drink, drink, especially only a few days post op. I am either tired or just forget that it is time for protein drink or fluids especially when I have to only drink 1/4 cup at one time which must take 1/2 hour to drink. i know I will get better.
I just want to let the readers know and members that thank you for encouraging words with all the knowledge of experiences that you have shared.
