Post-op day 3

Thanks so much for the notes of support!  Laparoscopic VSG with cholecystectomy surgery sucessfully completed on Tuesday afternoon.  I drifted in and out of sleep that night with brief stabs of pain occurring only with position changes.  The main problem for me was nausea.  My body does not like anesthesia very much at all.  I don't think anything has ever been as welcome as those tiny sips of water on Wednesday morning.   After my successful leak test Wednesday afternoon, I was cleared for my protein shake dinner.  No matter how many times I read about it, I could never have fully understood what a struggle trying to consume 8 oz. of shake could be.  On the bright side, that little consumption of food seemed to take the edge off of the persistent nausea and headache that hung around post op.  My pain has been reasonably well controlled with the medication, although I have had a couple of really bad moments.  I am settling in now, and ready to move forward!  SLOWLY
