"I went to see Dr. Castro for the first time on March 21st. I've been talking to his office staff for a month or so...and the girls are the sweetest. Dr Castro used to practice in El Paso...and he just came to Dallas last month and started a new practice at the hospital where I work. How convenient for me! When I went in for my consult--I was super nervous. After I got there and got back in the room...I felt completely at ease. Everyone was SO nice...including Dr. Castro. He spent at least 30 minutes in the room with me...asking me questions...and explaining where we would go from here--and all the he expects from me. I didn't have many questions about the surgery itself since I used to be an RN in a bariatric unit.......but he did answer all the other questions I had. His bedside manner is wonderful. He's easy to talk to--and just has a caring spirit about him. I'm totally comfortable with Dr. Castro--and am confident in his expertise. rnAfter my surgery--I'm still very glad I found Dr Castro. He is a very caring man and good at what he does. He came to see me in the hospital several times and when I had a question post-op, I was able to get a hold of him on his cell phone immediately. I think their post-op follow up plans are good as well. I have had no complications so far and my surgery went well."

"I tried these...they're good. Taste like liquid candy with only a slight aftertaste. However, I just read a study that showed these are mostly collagen protein with very minute amts of Whey protein in them. Their protein score (PDCAAS score) was only a 4 out of a 100. Some of the other brands scored a 100 out of 100 and tasted better. I am bummed though!!! I also read a post where someone had been drinking these and getting in "all of her protein" and her 3-month post op labs were horrible and they told her to change her protein source. Bummer!!"
