Leland J. Cook
"Dr. Cook is an EXCELLENT surgeon, as well as being a caring individual who TRULY cares about the patient population that he serves. I have met with him on numerous occasions in different situations and he has ALWAYS been professional, caring and interested in what his patients have to say. In my orientation meeting, he was easy to listen to, as well as informative and knowledgeable. In my pre-op visit, he answered all of the questions I had and was genuinely concerned about me. When he saw me in the hospital, the day I went home, he calmed my anxieties, assuring me that the things i was experiencing were normal. At my first post-op visit, he was enthusiastic about my recovery and weight loss to that point and calmed any continuing fears I had. His weigt loss program celebrated their one year anniversary in November and they had a big banquet, with all of his patients and a guest in attendance. Wow, what a roomful of people we were. He spoke eloquently and introduced the rest of his wonderful staff! He stresses "after care". He doesn't just do the surgery and release you with no support. Joyce (Program Coordinator) and Becky (Dietician) are SUPER people who truly care about their patients and their "life after surgery". I am totally satisfied with the treatment and continuing support that I received and am receiving from this WONDERFUL group of health professionals!! I can't say enough about the difference that they have made in my life!"

"Becky is wonderful. She is understanding and patient. She reacts to questions as though it is the first time she has heard them, when you know that she listens to the same questions day in and day out. She is truly concerned about her patients and really wants them to succeed. She is available by beeper after hours and on the weekends and answers pages quickly. I can't say enough positive things about her."
