Focusing on eating habbits and NOT so much weight loss

I read something in one of the forums... Focusing on eating right, slow-long meals, right foods, right liquids, exercise program is what we or at least I need to focus on because looking at the scale and wanting to weight myself every chance I get will just upset me and cause me to think of what am I doing wrong if my weight loss is not enough VS keeping my focus on what I am supposed to be doing therefore, I know I am doing everything right and the pounds will come off just the way my body has intended it to.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT... I can't wait to start eating my cream of mushroom soup  

I have lots of it! Lots of yogurt, jello and pudding-- along with a 10lb bag of protein powder and several already made shakes
