"I was lucky…because I really didn't research weight loss surgeons. I chose Dr. Houseworth simply as a result of a list provided to me by my insurance company. I'm thrilled to report that Dr. Houseworth is simply amazing! He has more than earned some positive feedback. He took extended time with me and my family to answer my exhaustive list of questions prior to having surgery. He was thorough to explain every option available to me and was completely supportive of my final decision to have the RNY gastric by-pass surgery. Dr. Houseworth saw me each day in the hospital following surgery to track my progress and ensure all was well. His post-op care after I went home was noteworthy. Sadly I did have to return to the hospital due to dehydration (my fault). Dr. Houseworth returned my call on a Saturday within just minutes and then met me at the hospital within the hour. Frankly I saw this as going beyond the call of duty as most surgeons would have 'called it in'. Dr. Houseworth takes his time with me at all of my post-op appointments. He provides tips and support and it feels like not only do you have a skilled surgeon on your side but you are also gaining a friend in the process."
