Doing a lot Better :D

It's been a while since I have been on here. I've been really busy with work and everything. But I'm doing really well. As of today I have lost 70.6 lbs. That's since Jan 1st of this year. In my last post I was saying my docs were worried about me losing so much weight so fast. No, I really don't know why they said that. I'm not too worried. I feel really good. I'm still getting a little dizzy. But I'm drinking more water and staying hydrated, well trying. My eating has improved tremendously. My boyfriend helps so much with that. My working out is going great. He has took it upon himself to be my trainer. I'm kind of worried..lol. But I think I'll be ok. I'm really sore today.

I just take it one day at a time. Meal by meal. Watch what I eat and drink water, water, water.

*good family news-my mom was cleared for surgery. so she should start all of her appt sometime soon*

3 mo DOC VISIT

HAD MY THREE MONTH FOLLOW UP TODAY. DIDN'T GO AS WELL AS EXPECTED. AS I HAVE SAID BEFORE I DON'T GO BY THEIR SCALES. BUT FOR THE SAKE OF THIS BLOG I WILL.......

MY PRE-SURGERY WEIGHT WAS 260. AS OF TODAY I WEIGH 208. THATS 52 LBS OF TOTAL LOSS. (BY DUKE HOSP SCALE). 52 LBS IN ABOUT 3 AND A HALF MONTHS. COMES UP TO ABOUT 15 LBS A MONTH. AND ALMOST 4 LBS A WEEK. I DON'T KNOW. THE DIETITIAN SAID TO BE CAREFUL. ON TOP OF THAT, MY BLOOD PRESSURE WAS LOW. THAT'S WHAT'S CAUSING ME TO GET SO DIZZY SO OFTEN. I HAVE TO WATCH MY PROTEIN INTAKE. MAKE IT HIGHER. EAT MORE OFTEN. IM NOT HUNGRY, NATURALLY, SO I DON'T EAT. ESPECIALLY AT WORK OR ON THE RUN. AND THAT'S NOT GOOD AT ALL. MY FIANCE IS MY COOK NOW. I LOVE HIM. HE HAS BEEN COOKING FISH AND CHICKEN. ALL KINDS OF MESS FOR ME. HE'S THE BEST. IT'S WHEN IM AT WORK THAT'S THE PROBLEM. SO I HAVE PACKED ALL OF MY FOOD AND IT SHOULD BE GONE BY THE END OF MY 12 HR SHIFT, AS WELL AS THE 3 BOTTLES OF WATER I HAVE SITTING IF FRONT OF ME NOW.

I WILL GET BETTER. I WILL EAT LIKE I SHOULD AND WHEN I SHOULD. I WILL UP MY INTAKE OF FLUIDS AND PROTEIN. AND I WILL KEEP UP EXERCISING LIKE I SHOULD. I WILL GET BETTER.

OVER HALF WAY!!!

I JUST LOVE SEEING MY "WEIGHT LOST" IS HIGHER THAN MY "WEIGHT TO GO". MAKES MY SOUL SMILE. YES I AM OVER MY HALF WAY MARK. I'M DOWN TO 212.4. I FEEL PRETTY GOOD. STILL COULD WORK BETTER ON EATING AND THE GYM. I DRINK WATER LIKE IT'S GOING OUT OF STYLE..LOL. HAIR IS STILL COMING OUT BUT IM TAKING BIOTIN AND TRYING TO GET AS MUCH PROTIEN IN AT I CAN. MOST OF MY CLOTHES DON'T FIT BUT NOT TO THE POINT OF BUYING A WHOLE NEW WARBDROBE. NOT GONNA HAPPEN FOR A WHILE. IM DOWN TO A SIZE 18 NOW. FROM A 24/26. WHICH SOME OF MY 18s ARE A LITTLE BAGGY. BUT LIKE I SAID NOT ENOUGH TO GO OUT AND BUY MORE. CLEARENCE RACKS ARE MY FRIENDS AND FRIENDS THAT HAVE LOST WEIGHT OR JUST WANNA GET RID OF CLOTHES...I LOVE EM.

VACATION COMING IN 8 DAYS. I'M SO EXCITED. OFF TO THE BEACH FOR FOUR DAYS WITH MY FAMILY. AND OFF WORK FOR 9 DAYS. NOT TOO BAD. 

MY FIANCE AND I ARE IN THE PROCESS OF TRYING TO BUY A HOUSE. KEEP US IN YOUR PRAYERS FOR THAT.

LIL' BIT OF EVERYTHING...

I see my last blog said 225...well ladies and gents I'm down to 217.6 now. I'm feeling ok. I've been getting sick lately. Don't really want to eat but i do only because i know i have to. I know for a fact that i could eat a lot better than i do too.  I drink a lot of water still. i don't want to get dehydrated. That would suck. I experienced dumping syndrome again the other night at work and had to leave it was so bad. which what i ate didn't help not one bit.

Good news. My neurologist took me completely off one of my migraine meds and half the second one. Im still doin the vitamin thing, of course. B12, calcium, Vit C and multi. Started taking biotin. My hair is thinning/falling out, whatever.

Gym: im still going to the gym on my days off as much as i can. And yes, i ran!!! i can do a mile in about 15 min when i put my mind to it. I want to get better at that. I do my weights too. I do need to focus more on walking/cardio.

Clothes: well i did clean out my closet. got rid of a lot of clothes. haven't bought a lot. don't plan on it either. i feel like im running out of clothes that fit..lol. but it's all good. i bought a bathing suit for a lake trip back in early may. Umm yeah mistake. Now i have to buy another one for our beach trip at the end of june. That one don't fit anymore. Good thing i didn't spend no more than $20 for the thing. Oh aaaannnd...it was a 2 piece. No not a bikini. A halter top and shorts. The white one i'm wearing in my pics. i love it. First 2 piece i've ever worn.

I will say im doing ok. I could be doin a lot better. I feel a summer cold coming on. Which i horrible. I'm taking pics at a wedding tomorrow.

THE FREAKIN' SCALE SAYS 225.5 PEOPLE!!! I HAVEN'T WEIGHED ANYWHERE NEAR THAT SINCE THE BEGINNING OF HIGH SCHOOL!!! OH MY GOSH!!! I'M SO EXCITED. I STARTED BACK ON MY PROTEIN SHAKES TODAY. SMALLER PORTIONS THOUGH. MADE A STRAWBERRY ONE WITH UNSWEETENED SOY MILK, A SCOOP OF VANILLA PROTEIN POWDER AND ABOUT 7 STRAWBERRIES. IT'S NOT TOO SWEET AND IT'S JUST ENOUGH TO FILL A RED SOLO CUP. COULDN'T DRINK ALL OF IT LEFT ABOUT 1/4 CUP LEFT. BUT HEY...IT'S PROTEIN.

MY EATING HAS IMPROVED. I'M HAPPY ABOUT THAT. IM THINKING STRESS HAD A LOT TO DO WITH IT TOO. BUT THINGS ARE BETTER. TAKING IT ONE DAY AT A TIME. HAVE A SMALL FAMILY TRIP PLANNED TO THE LAKE NEXT SATURDAY. LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT.

CHANGE in MY DIET :) *and a bit of fam news*

SO IM NOTICING MY HAIR IS THINNING A BIT. IF YOU'VE LOOKED AT MY PICS I HAVE A LOT AND I MEAN A LOT OF HAIR. SO WHEN I SAY MY HAIR IS THINNING...YEAH IT'S THINNING. SO I'M CHANGING MY DIET A BIT. FIRST, I KNOW IM NOT EATING LIKE I SHOULD AND WHEN I SHOULD. SO IM WORKING ON THAT. I'M GETTING FOODS THAT ARE HIGHER IN PROTIEN. I'M GOING TO GET BIOTEN WHICH IS FOR HAIR GROWTH. I FEEL REALLY GOOD. I DO EAT AND I GET FULL BUT I DON'T EAT WHAT I SHOULD. I DON'T EAT "BAD" FOODS, "JUNK" FOODS. I JUST EAT FOODS THAT DON'T REALLY DO ANYTHING FOR ME. I'M STILL LOSING WIEIGHT. I HAVEN'T WEIGHED. BUT I'M GUESSING SOMEWHERE A LITTLE OVER 50 POUNDS. WHICH IS GOOD. BUT I'M DOING IT THE WRONG WAY. I AM GOING TO THE GYM STILL. THREE TO FOUR TIME A WEEK. MOSTLY CARDIO. SOME WEIGHTS, HIGH REPS, LOW WEIGHT FOR TONING. PEOPLE SAY I LOOK DIFFERENT AND I DO. I'VE GOT TO GET MY COUSIN TO TAKE SOME PICS OF ME AND POST FOR YOU GUYS ON HERE.

OH AND.....MY MOM INFORMED ME THE OTHER DAY THAT SHE IS HAVING RNY ALSO. I AM TAKING HER TO THE FREE SEMINAR THIS FRIDAY AT DUKE HOSPITAL. SO BE PRAYING FOR HER. IM SO EXCITED FOR HER. SHE IS SO EXCITED!!!!  HER JOURNEY IS ABOUT TO BEGIN!!!

SO TODAY WAS MY WEIGH IN DAY....IM 230.5!!! THAT IS A TOTAL LOSE OF 47.5 POUNDS SINCE JANUARY!!! WOOHOO!! JANUARYS WEIGHT WAS 278...UMMM...YEAH ....BUT, I FEEL SO GOOD. BY THE SURGEONS SCALE?? LETS SEE. 260 BEFORE SURGERY..230.5 NOW...SO 29.5. SURGERY DATE WAS FEB 28th. I RECKON IM DOING PRETTY GOOD.

FOOD IS GETTING A LOT BETTER. MY EATING SCHEDULE HAS GOTTEN "ALOT" BETTER. THE FOODS I EAT HAVE CHANGED. I PUT SILK MILK IN MY CEREAL IN THE MORNING. I EAT CHILDRENS YOGURT. PLUS MY BOYS LIKE IT TOO. I EAT SOME OF THE SMART ONES MEALS. GOTTA BE CAREFUL THOUGH. SOME ARE VERY HIGH IN SODIUM. I LOVE PEANUT BUTTER AND JAM TOAST. SSTRING CHEESE. NO SUGAR APPLE SAUCE. I LIKE TRISCUITS WITH LITTLE CHEESE BLOCKS. EGG SALAD. TUNA SALAD. TALAPIA SEARED WITH SOME ITALIAN DRESSING, JUST A LITTLE. SO YUMMY. OH A LIL VINIGAR TOO, TO CUT THE FISH TASTE. I DRINK V8 SLASH, SOMETIMES DIET V8 SPLASH. LOTS OF WATER.

IM STILL GOING TO THE GYM. I WALK ON THE TREADMILL ALOT. I RECENTLY STARTED THE ELIPTICAL. THAT THINK KICKED MY TALE. BUT I CAN CONTRIBUTE MOST OF MY WEIGHT LOSS TO THAT MACHINE. I GET A GOOD WORKOUT ON THAT. THE TREADMILL IS ALL GOOD AND FINE. THE THE ELIPTICAL IS AMAZING. AND THE ONE AT THE GYM I GO TO HAS THE HAND THINGS YOU HOLD ON TO AND MOVE TOO, AS WELL AS THE FEET GLIDERS. SO YEAH...LOL. I LOVE IT. AND I HAVE MY MUSIC IN MY EARS. I'M IN THE ZONE.

Losing :) and Dumping :/

WELL IM DOWN 43 LBS SO FAR. I FEEL REALLY GOOD. I FEEL LIKE I LOOK KIND OF FUNNY. NOT USE TO LOOKING LIKE THIS...LOL. EVERYONE SAYS IM LOOKING REALLY GOOD. SO I GUESS THAT'S A PLUS.

I'VE BEEN GOIN TO THE GYM. AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME, IM SO SORE. I DO A LOT OF CARDIO. I FEEL GOOD. BUT SORE.

FOOD-WELL, IM GETTING THERE. I'VE EXPERIENCE DUMPING SYNDROME TWICE. DIDN'T KNOW THAT I WAS. UNTIL THE SECOND TIME. I PROMISE YOU IT'S HORRIBLE. I DON'T THINK I CHEWED THE FOOD UP GOOD ENOUGH OR I ATE TOO FAST. I DON'T KNOW. BUT IT WAS HORRIBLE. I HAVE BEEN MORE CAREFUL SINCE THEN OF WHAT I EAT AND HOW I EAT.

OH BY THE WAY...I HAVE PLANNED MY SUMMER VACATION. WOOHOO!!! IN JUNE. IM EXCITED. GOING TO THE BEACH FOR A FEW DAYS. GONNA WAIT TIL THE WEEK BEFORE TO BUY A NEW BATHING SUIT. EXCITED ABOUT THAT TOO.

SO LADIES AND GENTS IM IN THE 230's...WOOHOO!!! I'M 239.4. DOWN FROM 278 AND I FEEL GREAT. I WALKED ALMOST 3 MILES THIS MORNING, BURNED 445 CALORIES. IT FELT GOOD. GOING TO DO SOME WEIGHTS IN THE MORNING.  NOTHING HEAVY, OF COURSE. I CAN'T REMEMBER THE LAST TIME I WAS IN THE 230's. I WAS AMAZED WHEN I GOT ON THE SCALE.

FOOD IS GOING OK. I'M HAVING TROUBLE EATING ON TIME. THEY SAID EVERY 3 TO 4 HOURS. WHEN IM AT WORK...UMMM...YEAH...THAT'S HARD. BUT I KEEP TRYING. I'M GETTING INTO THE HABIT OF SETTING THE TIMERS ON ME CELL. LET'S SEE....TYPES OF FOOD. MADE SOME SHRIMP YESTERDAY THAT WAS YUMMY. GETTING TIRED OF TUNA. DELI TURKEY AND CHEESE, I LOVE. YOGURTS? I'VE TRIED ONE AND IT WASN'T ALL THAT GOOD. I HAVE SOME SLIM FAST SHAKES ON STANDBY FOR MY "WAKE UP LATE MORNINGS". I DRINK ALOT AND I MEAN "ALOT" OF WATER. I DRINK SOME WATERED DOWN CRAN-GRAPE JUICE, BUT THAT'S ABOUT IT. I DO THE PROTIEN SHAKES EVERY NOW AND THEN BUT END UP WASTING IT. GOTTA LEARN HOW TO MAKE SMALLER SHAKES...LOL. I EAT CHERRIOS FOR BREAKFAST...YUMMY. NO HONEY NUT, MIND YOU. ALL AROUND IM DOING GOOD. I FEEL REALLY REALLY GOOD. IF ANYONE HAS ANY RECIPES OF HIGH PROTIEN FOODS, HAS TO BE SOFT FOODS. IM STILL IN MY SOFT FOOD STAGE. I WOULD GREATLY APPRICIATE IT. I'M ON SOFT FOODS FOR A FEW MORE WEEKS. THANKS.

IM 3 WEEKS OUT. HAD A POST OP APPT TODAY. IM ON MY SOFT FOODS. I MADE SOME EGGS WHEN I GOT HOME AND THEY WERE HEAVENLY...LOL. I'M HAVING TALAPIA FOR DINNER TOMORROW NIGHT. I FEEL GREAT. THE WEIGHT IS STILL COMING OFF. BY THE SCALES AT DUKE IM DOWN TO 240. THEY HAD MY BEFORE SURGERY WIEGHT AT 260. SO THEY GOT ME AS LOSING 20 POUNDS. WHICH IM VERY HAPPY WITH. BY MY MEASUREMENTS WITH MY WEIGHT ON THEIR SCALE TODAY OF 240. I STARTED AT 278. SO I'VE LOST 38 POUNDS. SO EITHER WAY I'M SIKED. I FELL GREAT. MY CLOTHES ARE A LITTLE BAGGY, ESPECIALLY MY SHIRTS. WITH MY PANTS, I DON'T THINK THERE'S ANY HOPE FOR THESE HIPS...LOL. BIRTHING TWO BOYS WILL DO THAT TO YA.

EXCERCISING IS GOING GREAT. IM WALKING A LOT. THE DOC CLEARED ME TO LIFT WEIGHTS. HE SAID NOT TO STRAIN. WHICH I DON'T DO THAT ANYWAYS. BUT I'M EXCITED ABOUT LIFTING WEIGHTS AND TONING MY MUSCLES. HE SAID TO DO MORE CARDIO THAN ANYTHING.

BUT ALL AROUND IM DOING REALLY GOOD. I HAVE THESE FIGHTS WITH NAUSEA EVERY NOW AND THEN. BUT IT'S ALL GOOD.

GOING BACK TO WORK, I'M TRYING TO GET MY EATING ON SCHEDULE. TONIGHT IS THE FIRST NIGHT. IT'S GOING REALLY GOOD SO FAR. WE ARE GOING TO THE BEACH THIS WEEKEND FOR THE DAY SO WE WILL SEE HOW THAT GOES. I THINK IT WILL BE FINE. I HOPE EVERYONE IS DOING GREAT.
