St. Francis Hospital
"I was very impressed with the care I received at St. Francis Hospital. I felt that the nurses were well informed and supportive, however, I did not see the nurses much after my surgery except to give me medications and check my incisions. As a nurse myself I knew post-surgery protocol so was doing what was required. Although I didn't need encouragement, the staff was supportive and friendly. They took the time to explain procedures and inform me of my procedure change and why the need to change it. (Was changed from a BPD to a Gastric Sleeve due to liver concerns) My future health was taken into concern and was protected while still being able to give me a tool that would be useful in achieving my weight loss goals. Enjoyed my stay and those who cared for me."

"Dr. Dunshee has been a wonderful surgeon. On my consult appointment as well as pre-op appointment he took the time to explain not only the procedure, but how it would affect my body. We discussed not only the technical side of surgery and post-op care, but how to take care of myself after surgery. I didn't feel rushed and Dr. Dunshee took the time to answer all my questions. Also, after surgery, he met with my family updating them on how my surgery went and took the time to answer their questions. He is a wonderful surgeon that I would recommend. Will continue with him when I am able to have the Duodenal Switch part of my procedure. "
