Yo yo dieted throughout past 20 years. Had a nasty bout of pneumonia past spring (2009) and ballooned to 308. Finally decided to seek surgical help for my weight. Glucose and triglycerides have been creeping up. I know it's a matter of time before Type II diabetes sets in. I attended the informational session with Dr. Bono, Hazleton, PA. My insurance requires a six month medically supervised diet, but that's fine with me. Allows me to spread out my consultations. So far, cardiac, psych, pulmonary, and upper g.i were fine. P.T. and Nutritional are done. Then, Realize Band surgery on January 11, 2010.Aalready down to 240. I'm 47 and retiring from government work in April 2010 so I anticipate much more time to devote to my health. I was nervous at first, but now an excited. I'm sure I'll be nervous again on surgery day, but not too much.

I look forward to reading as many of your stories as possible and fully preparing for this change in my lifestyle.

Dan
