So i am now 2 years out of surgery...Its funny how time flies. I'm down from a starting point of 256lbs to 122/123 most of the time. I'm getting divorced, I've lost a lot of friends,and I've had chronic coccyx pain but would I do it all over again? heck yeah! I now have a wonderful supportive boyfriend who I was actually with many years ago pre-surgery and life is looking up. The friends who are not really friends I'm not worrying about, the ex husband either. I'm coming into my own. I finally am starting to know me and thats a really different and wonderful experience. I'm going to try to keep this up to date now. If I can figure out how to add new pictures I'll be doing really good...lol...

Hi all! Well i haven't really posted anything since surgery...I had so much pain and then just discomfort and food issues through week 6. Now I'm about 2 months and 1 week out and it has gotten so much easier. I just never seem to have enough time to write on here. My hubby and I are packing up our apartment and preparing to move back to Massachusetts at the end of this month. Its been very hectic to say the least. Also I haven't gone back to work and probably will not until we move. Its coming up way too fast. I started this journey at 256lbs. I did not lose pre-surgery but since surgery I have lost 30 lbs. That is what the scale said at least at my last support group meeting about 2 weeks ago. Also I have gone from hyper to hypo thyroid. Go figure! But I'm working it all out. Well tommorrow I'm headed to Disneyworld with the hubby in celebration of our upcoming 1 year wedding anniversary so I will be sure to take plenty of pics and post them when we return on tuesday. Hope all is well!

Well folks..today is Sunday which means in just 3 short days I and a few others on here will be undergoing WLS. I can even descibe how I am feeling right now...nervous, excited, scared, happy, and so much more. To be quite honest I really didn't do much of a pre-surgery diet and I'm feeling a bit guilty about that. I do plan on starting a workout regimen after surgery and to do some serious walking. As soon as I have surgery I will be 100% serious about my efforts. I've been keeping busy awaiting surgery, all kinds of stuff going on. I still am having problems sleeping at night though. My nerves are shot. Luckily I have a very loving, caring husband to help me through it. I have the upmost faith that I am doing the right thing and that my life is about to change for the better. So here we go...See you on the losing team!

Well I'm on the phone this very moment waiting for my thyroid doc to come on the line and tell me how this last blood test came out. I'm very nervous. If all goes well I'll be booking my mom's plane ticket in a little while and it will finally feel real. I feel like I've been through so much up to this point...
WhoooHoooo....He just came on the line and told me he will fax the clearance letter over to U.S. Bariatrics! I'm so excited! Now I just have the hospital bloodwork to do over again and my pre-op for a second time. Its worth it though...Three and a half weeks to go!!!

So I went to have my blood drawn today for my endocrinologist. He said at my last appointment that my thyroid levels are a tiny fraction off from where they should be. He increased my meds and told me to have one last test done today to seal the deal that my surgery will take place. I have to call him on Monday for the results. He seemed very confident that it would come out fine. I've kind of gotten used to the waiting game by now...lol. After that I will have to redo all the presurgery bloodwork I had previously done and then redo my preop but it's all worth it to get healthy. So I'm basically trying just to go with flow and keep my stress levels low which is hard to do sometimes. Anyway thats all for now. I'll keep everyone updated and I'll know more on Monday.
