Hello all! My store starts, Last year Dec. 3rd 2013 for my 40th birthday, I found out that I would have to have heart surgery. A little over a month later, I had the surgery where a ICD was implanted in my chest. About 9 month after, my doctor told me that everything look great and I was doing well. I even lost 20 lbs. However, If the IDC at any time stop working and I become sick again I would not be a candidate to even be put on the heart transplant list because of my weight. This was a big wake up call. I have lost weight before, but have gained it back and then some. A few years back I had looked into having the VSG and started to do all of the visit. My cardiologist would not approve me for it. After having my heart surgery I have been given the ok to move forward. I have done everything and my insurance has given me the approval as well. I meet with my surgeon on April 15th to go over everything and set up my date. I am very happy, scared, emotional and anxious all at the same time. I have been over weight my whole life.
