Routine Update

Jun 28, 2010

All is fine.  Ran on the street this morning.  Thinking I might start doing this every morning at least for a couple weeks or so.  It's just so much easier and quicker to get up at 0500, throw on my shoes and run around the block for 20-30 minutes, come back home and do my 3 S's (sh*t, shower and shave) and go to work.  Going to the gym for cardio takes so much longer, plus extra gas, plus I don't have time to do anything else after work.

But anyway, things are going great otherwise.  Weight these days range from 183-189 (within a day).  Bloatiness is not as bad as it was a few months ago, thankfully.  Gas still bad at times.  Still haven't nailed down everything that causes it.  Sometimes my protein shakes will cause it; sometimes not.

Still considering a TT.  Sometimes looks like I need one; sometimes not.  Wifey is strictly against it, saying I don't need it.  I'm happy about the loss but would like to be able to take the ole shirt off outside.  I got it "on hold" for this year but will reopen the subject next year.

Went to my crazy PCM last week.  My labs from my physical at work indicated slightly elevated liver levels.  PCM took blood for tests plus wants me to do imaging to see if there is fatty tissue around the liver.  I'm thinking why not wait till the blood result returns before giving me this expensive imaging requirement.  Plus I asked him to change my blood pressure prescription to a generic and he refused indicating there are side effects.  BS!!  My blood pressure meds are $27 per month currently and I could be paying as low as $4 or $5 per month.  Plus, his support staff is the absolute PITS!!  They are all women and good looking women....(okay that's one of the initial reasons he became my PCM).  But attitude runs rampant in that office.  Plus, I have to remind him of things every time I visit.  I have to remind him I'm a bariatric patient.  I tell him I have a malabsorption issue.  He's like "who diagnosed you with malabsorption?".  I'm like, it's a condition of my WLS.  So, I'm thinking about changing PCM's.

But, looks like I'm venting more than updating.  Overall, things are good.  Ready for our FIRST EVER vacation next month!!!!!!
