Day 16 and going strong!
Feb 23, 2011
I wanted to write something in this blog right after surgery but was unsure of what to say.
Today is day 16 - post op and I am feeling pretty good. I have lost 21 pounds to date but I don't notice the difference. Of course everyone else around me does, but isn't that how it always is?
I am finding that the foods I used to love - eggs- I can't tolerate as much . My friends right now are chili and baked potatoes.
Today is my first day of work. I am having a lot of gas issues right now and figure out why. I take a sip of water and then fill nauseous after wards. There is a lot of gas in my tummy and it is making me very uncomfortable.
We shall see what tomorrow brings!

Hello
Jan 03, 2011
Hi all,
My name is Sam and I am new here on OH.com. I am having gastric bypass surgery on Monday, February 7, 2011. I am a nervous wreck! The process was very quick for me and that was unexpected. I was in the Dr.'s early December and had a surgery date set late December.
I will say that I am glad that I am not alone in this process. I have a wonderful boyfriend who has had the surgery 3 years ago. He is my rock and I am happy to have him supporting me. However, because he has been through the process already and is maintaining, he tries to dismiss my anxiety because he knows what it's like. I appreciate his enthusiasm and love, but I do wish he would accept the fact that I am scared and that's OK!
Stay blessed all,
