It is hard to believe 14 years have passed and I have maintained my weight loss. I did have set back 2 years after surgery when I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer......wonder how eno missed that one...but gp was right on top and within 6mths of biopsy had thyroidectomy and 1 radiation and now have been clear 10 years.....woohoo.
I would say this journey has changed my outlook on life...as everyone kept saying keep your mouth sut and the weight will come off but that was not the case...and now my dr supported me thru out this journey as he was one who knew how much I tried. I figure it was a combination of my binge eating and thyroid which we now have a handle on.
Do not let amyone tell my obsession with food has changed as it my understanding of this obession and dealing with my indicatos which has helped me maintain my new life......
Go figure after all this time and thru my jouney I met my partner......he even stuck around to see if I glowed in the dark after radiation treatment treatment; and showed up after my ablation for blood loss surgery setting all the nurses into giggle fits saying he was picking up his wmonan who had her woohoo steamed...go figure...LOL
I hope everyone has the supports of family but ralize friends will be lost in this journey when you become independant and halthy and want change.
