I love to eat...any time...any where.  Plus, my metabolism is on the slow side...so, now you know why I am like I am, huh?

This was fine as long as I was young, active, and loved and admired by family and friends.  But, now I am old, (61), sick a lot, and STILL loved and admired by family and friends!  (Gotcha!)

I am so tired of  being sick.  (I have lupus, hypothyroidism, asthma, a very bad lumbar, and so on.)  I want to be able to do things around the house.  I want to be able to go out and shop and to help my husband with his stuff.    My doctors say that this surgery will relieve a lot of my pain so that I can get around easier.  I pray that they are right.  Pain is a terrible bedfellow to have year after year.

My husband and I are Baptist missionaries in Monterrey, Mexico, where I will have my surgery on October 10th, 2008.  The doctor plans to do an RNY.  However, if he encounters an overabundance of scar tissue do to previous surgeries, he will be doing the sleeve.  Whichever is fine with me.  I just need help to lose weight...and feel better.

We have three children...the oldest, our only girl, is a missionary wife in El Salvador.  She and Henry have three of our grandchildren with them.  The next, Stephen, lives here nearby.  He and his wife are both teachers and have two sons.  The baby, Jonathan and his wife Jenny are missionaries with us in our ministry.  They have no children so far.  ( We are hoping for red headed girls from them, though)

Our website that tells about our ministry is www.mthebron.net
