"I"M BACK........."

Can't believe it has been so long since I posted. Sorry.  Last year was 1st time in hospital since 1959, had total knee replacement end of Mar; it went text book perfect, would do it again in a minute if necessary. Then had left cataract done, followed bu surgery on left hand for Dupren's Contracture, a family  trait. This year Mar 30th had my right cataract taken care of, wonderful vision, only readers necessary.

Just got home from IN family visit, saw my 15 mo old great grand-son for first time. I'm very fortunate, have 4 great grand children, 3 boys and a beautiful soon to be 12 year old girl.   Where has the years gone. Aug. 3rd will be 77 yo and married for 57 years, my inside does not match my out-
side, most days I feel quite young and always a fashion diva regardless of my size. I like being a 10 or even a 14 better than the current 1X size, but I've accepted it and love myself for the way I am.

I hope all you gals that have and are going to have surgery appreciate the advantage of this opportunity, I have dieted all my life and been on synthoid for over 50 years.  My only daughter had RNY in Mar 2005 and PS after that she looks fantastic and is off most all meds.

Have made many friends on the board here,Val Boshers is very dear to me and I pray every day for her. Hopefully  she will have her panni surgery ASAP and insurance paid. More later (hopefully not too late)  Love always, Bev

Well, today is May 3rd and I'm coming along fine, was in so much pain before surgery, that this is nothing . My weight is at 198.2 this morn so I'm finally in onderland. I know I'm obese however need to lose whatever I can just for health sake. Now that I'm able to walk without pain, will be getting my exercise that way plus still in PT, have 11 more sessions of it, My doctors, PT and etc say I have done great, above average. Will continue along these lines until next time.

Good Sat. afternoon, counting the days now till my surgery, no, it is not WLS however I wish it was. Tues, the 27th I'll be having my knee replacement surgery, nuff pain, time for action......... I have great faith in my surgeon and know that PT will not be a cake walk, but necessary evil to get me back on my feet again.

Got my hair cut SHORT yesterday, not happy with it, but my own fault so will live with it, after all it is just hair and it grows like a weed. My friend sent down her "potty" to put on top of my potty, so that part is taken care of.

Don't know yet where I will be for rehab, possibly may even have home care and rehab, Dr will decide before I leave the hospital, I plan to be a "good girl" so maybe he will just send me home. Aloha to my daughter, Suzy, in Hawaii till Mar 29th.Told her to take lots of pics, has fantastic bode and needs to put some on her profile.  Love to all, Bev

Can't forget to record my baby turned 52 on Mar 1st, she's my sweetie that had WLS in 2005 wish she would post some recent photos on her profile for all to see, can you tell I'm a proud mother.....
AND on Mar 27th I'll be having my knee replacement surgery, will have long, painfull rehab I'm sure, I'm being very positive about this and know everything will be fine in its time. Have a very capable surgeon and know God will be guiding him, plus have a special angel, my sister Shirley that will be watching over everything. My special earth angel is my daughter Suzy, she will be sunning in Hawaii and of course will be in contact by phone. Made her plans before I made mine and that is fine so hope she doesn't worry about me too much. Later, Bev

Yesterday my first born turned 54 years old, as they say..where did the time go????? Had appointment with my PCP this morning and everything was good, and at my age that is very good news LOL.  If my knee wasn't so stiff and dry I would feel like the young chick I am. I'm so grateful to Linda (Pinelope) for putting my picture on profile for me. Love my computer, but have so much to learn.

I spend lots of time on OH and feel such a kindred with so many, I'm still sorry that this tool wasn't available to me years ago. My daughter continues to thrive after her RNY and her PS, she is absolutely beautiful and always has been, however she is really blooming now. Think she has one more PS in mind, (hopefully Mom can stand the strain) was there for and with her on the 2 previous surgeries, so of course I plan on being there for the next one, 3,000 miles is nothing when it comes to my DD.

I'm 75 yrs of age, had weight problem as long as can remember, just wish this had been available to me years ago. Got really interested when my daughter had WLS 3/30/05, I went to San Francisco to care for her, she had lap RNY. Guess I live the Weight loss journey thru her. And what exciting times we have shared. June 19,2006 again I traveled to S.F. CA to be with her for her plastics. So grateful to all her surgeons for the wonderful care they have given her and the respect they have shown to me.
