I am so happy for you, you are going to rock at this. Wishing you a smooth journey and a complication free one too, just like mine!!! You are in my prayers, (((hugs))) Sandra G.
I just spoke to Martha and she's doing great! :) She went to a regular room yesterday after surgery (not ICU or step-down, as typically happens). She said the anxiety pre-op was worse than anything else so far. She's not feeling much pain (PCA pumps are GREAT!) and is working on her 30 cc's of water an hour. She hasn't had much nausea (teeny bit but breathing got her through it), bloating, or anything else. We'll stop by and see her this evening for a few minutes and pass along well wishes! :)
I just heard you are in recovery and I am so happy things went well for you!! Best wishes for a smooth recovery from surgery and remember sip sip sip, walk walk walk!! hugs and welcome to the Loser's Bench!!
I just heard from Gubblebum's hubby. She is out of surgery and in recovery, no complications whatsoever, and she's doing well. She'll be moved to her room in a couple of hours. I asked him to keep me updated and give me a call tomorrow and let me know how she made it through the first night. He said she got zero sleep last night, and that three separate times this morning on the way to the hospital she told him to turn around and take her home. I know she is just going to be so relieved now to be moving past this anxiety of the surgery and getting on with her new way of life. Her DH had RNY just about a year ago...so he's a great support in knowing what to expect for her. :) If she's feeling up to it, Zachary and I will visit her tomorrow evening after work.
