Hello,
My name is Gail and I live in New York (upstate). I have two beautiful daughters and on handsome son. My husband and I have been married for 22 years this September. I am a student at Walden University working on my masters in Mental Health Counseling. I own a daycare center and get to play with kids all day. My intentions are to work with teens who have fallen victim to drugs and alcohol. My surgery was on May 16, 2011. In addition to being a full time mom, daycare provider and student, I also do home parties for adults. I know this may sound strange, but it is fun and most of what I sell (lotions and spa products) it is fun to watch the ladies have a good time with out men around.
I have had RNY surgery with a mesh band and look forward to the day that I can share my daughters clothes (only kidding) but I do look forward to loosing weight and fitting back into some of my clothes. I am an ovarian cancer survivor, 11 years know, and thank God for every day he had given me to watch my children grow. Since surgery I have been off novo log 70/30 3x daily and on Lantus 11 units daily. Lost the oral meds and hope to be off cholesterol meds soon. I will probably be left on High Blood Pressure meds, was on them when I was skinnier.
I look forward to meeting people to take this journey with and talk with those that have been on this journey for a while.
