Starting gaining weight at the age of 26. Lost some, gained some, gained some more, and gained some more. As I got older, fatigue set in and some major changes in my life made me less active than I was used to. Returning to my home state after a n 18 year absence was my biggest downfall. The foods of Hawaii and my cultures totally enveloped me in yummy goodness but rich in fats and carbs. Raising teenagers and having a life on the go didn't help. Now, I am over 40 and ready to live healthy. I have lost a lot of family members to diseases and complications acquired after weight gain. I will not be one of these family members. My husband and I just adopted a baby and I am going to do whatever I have to in order to uphold my promise to his biological parents and to him, to care for him for as long as I can. I have 2 older children that I need to shadow in the distance while they walk in adulthood and learn about this World we live in.
Gastric Bypass is my only option to achieve the goals of health and happiness. I cannot control my desire to eat. I cannot control my dieting to my advantage. This Gastric Bypass is my tool to success that I am willing to use diligently to achieve my goals.
