Hi everyone.  My name is Jackie.  I am 42 years old, mother of 4 grandmother of 6 girls and a wife, happily married for 23 years.  I have been sturggling with my weight since the age of 12 years old.  During my junior and high school years, I spent alot of time alone because no one in shool wanted to spend time with the fat girl.  In college a couple of years ago, not many people wanted to spend time with me or even complete projects with me.

But with very had work and many late nights studing, at the age of 40, I graduated with my BA in business, but finding work in NY has not been easy.  I have started the process so that I can get my surgery date.  I want to finally be able to lose weight and start a new life without all of this extra weight and finally be able to find a very good job without being dicriminated because of my size, but also a healthy and happier lon life for me and my family.

Just got back after three months in Puerto Rico.  I had lots of fun and enjoyed my vacation with my loving husband.  But back to reality.  On 11-26-07 I went and got my echocardiogram done.  Everything ame out o.k., but to my surprise, when I wengt to Puerto Rico on August, I left weighing 272 pounds.  My doctor weighed me and said that I now weigh 250 pounds and 1 oz a total of 22 pounds. I was very suprised considering that it is said that all of that carribbean food will make you gain weight.
