"Dr. Perugini is very professional and kind. When starting the journey, he takes the time to make sure you understand what is coming up, and what you will go through each step of the way. He also gave me very real expectations of future weight loss, and was supportive and encouraging each step of the way. Without Dr. Perugini as part of my team, I don't think I would have been as successful as I have been. Your team is a very important part of this journey and with him on board my team was A+ all the way!
At first he may seem a bit stiff if you don't know him, but he actually has a great manner and a good sense of humor. He places the priority on getting you every bit of information you may need at the time of your visit, leaving time for questions. A lot of doctors may be in the habit of socializing quite a bit with patients which is nice but often this can get you off track and you go home realizing you forgot to ask something important. With Dr. Perugini focusing so much on your concerns and the procedures ahead, steps before and after you really feel confident that all bases are covered. Its nice to feel safe when going into surgery as it can be so intimidating. Dr. Perugini is professionalism at its best, he gets the job done and he is there for you any time its needed. I had to reschedule my first surgery due to a cold, and he was super supportive and encouraging that we would get the job done. One month later I was happily, and safely sleeved.
