Hello everyone.

I have been "heavy" most of my life.  Not HUGE but never thin.  As I had my 3 babies, I watched the scales go from just being minimally overweight to being absolutely obese.  At the height of my weight, 280, I got a divorce.  Fortunatetly for me, I began to come down from that number.  I only got to around 265 though.

I have always made it "okay" in my mind that I was heavy.  That people loved me how I was and that was okay for me.  I got remarried and things are great and my husband loves me.  Things were great until I started getting cysts the size of volley balls on my ovaries, heart palpatations and diagnosed as a diabetic.

I knew it was time to do something.  Not the yo-yo thing I had done all my life but really do something.  So, I decided on the Gastric Bypass (Roux en Y).

I am now about 3 1/2 weeks out and ....well....we'll see.

Before the 10 diet I weighed in at 259.  When I went back to the Dr.'s a week ago, I was at 232.  Of course according to my scales I am 220.  BLAH!

So here I am, on this journey.  And this site has kept me going.  Reading other peoples success stories, battles and thoughts has given me hope and strength.  So, we'll see how MY story goes.    Good Luck to us all.
