"My first impression of Dr. Ben-Meir was that he had a quiet and very serious demeanor. He did seem more relaxed and easy going when I met with him on surgery day and afterwards. I felt the office staff responded to everything I needed. I didn't need to hound the office, everything was completed in the time frames they gave me. I really don't have anything negative to say about him, I had no complications and therefore haven't had to see him. I feel the aftercare program is one of the best around, the dietary guidelines and the ability to contact anyone for any questions is easily accessible. Dr. Ben-Meir thoroughly went over the risks and possible complications , including his mortality rate at our very first meeting. He offered all the info and made sure I understood it. I would give him and the St.Vincents program an 'A'. I would definately prefer surgical competance over bedside manner, though both are important, his skill as a surgeon is what I cared about most."
