I am the typical guy who let things get out of control and woke up one day not recognizing the man in the mirror. When I was a young age everyone compared me to my twin brother. I was the fat one. Husky my mom would say. Fact is I was HWP however my brother was small for his age. I grew a complex and spent my entire school age working out and getting noticed for my biceps and abs. When I went into the USAF I was 180 pounds and 13% body fat. While in the service I was drinking pretty hard and gained 20 pounds and subsequently got kicked out for being to FAT. When I came home I continued to drink with my friends and coworkers and then stopped going to the Gym because I wanted to spend more time with my little girl and worked 60 hours a week in factory. By the time I blinked I was 250 one year out of the service. Well marriage and 2 more kids and bad eating habits with little exercise and next thing I know Im diabetic and have sleep apnea along with other medical problems. When I went to my PCP in early August 2012 I weighed 307 and had A1C of 7.4. The Dr. wanted to start me on insulin and I said no way I am going to change my life for good. I went to see Dr. Alley whom Ive heard of from coworkers (I work at same hospital). From that day I have been looking forward ever since.
