Orientation...Finished

Yesterday I went to my mandatory orientation for RNY and it was very informative. My fiance was with me and it made him feel somewhat more comfortable with the surgery. He is really scared of all the risk that is involved. I learned a lot and now I am on my way to losing that 10%. The surgeon said that within the next 4 weeks they will be scheduling appointments and that the appointments will take usually 3-4 hours. They try to group as many together as possible for convenience which is thoughtful. I got a few steps out of the way and now I cannot wait until my appointment. It's pretty cool that Kaiser will take the highest weight for the last 12 months and consider that when loosing weight. For some that is excellent but for me not too good since I am at my heaviest right now which means I have to lose that 10 % which I understand it's for my safety.
