Will I feel like myself after VSG??

Hi,I'm getting sleeved 7-8-09 and I can't help but wonder.....hum... will I ever feel like myself again? I mean simple things like... will I be able to sleep on my stomach...enjoy a piece of my favorite dessert (cheese cake) every now and than...or will I have to endure some kind of chronic pain related to the surgery I've read on this forum how some people experience pain on their backs and behind the shoulder blade. If anyone out there wants to share any life change other than what's expected as far as eating habits, please share. Thanks
