I started taking new meds for my mood disorder and I was worried that I would start gaining weight. However, the new meds actually have decreased my appetite. I am also a like queasy but that will go away soon. Just thee last two weeks, I have lost 3 lbs. I guess I had nothing to worry about.

It has gone by so fast! One year ago I weighed 255lbs and today I weigh 190! I am so happy I made the decision to have lap band surgery. I have had only 4 fills since the surgery and I am restricted to eating only a 3rd or half of my meals. This has been a great journey! Here is to more weight loss!

I now have a BMI under 30!!!!! I weighed 195 this morning. I couldn't be happier with my band. I continue to be surprized that this is actually working for me!

My goal for the end of the year was 200lbs. And this morning the scale said 199!!!! I am so happy.

Okay. I go back and forth between thinking I am still super fat and thinking that I am super sexy now that I have had the surgery. It has been a rollercoaster of emotions for sure, but the numbers don't lie. 208 this morning! I have lost 47.5 pounds as of today. I have NEVER lost this much weight, EVER! I can't believe this is working for me! In a year since I had been planning for the surgery and changing eating habits, I have seen so much difference in how I think about food and portion size and hunger! It is amazing and I am so happy that this is working for me and that I am going to have a tool to help the weight stay gone this time!

My new goal is to be 200 lbs or under by Christmas. I know I can do it!!!! Today I weighed 213.5 and this fill doesn't seem to be loosening like the others had at this point.

I hadn't pooped in like 6 days. I know TMI, but after I finally pooped this morning I weighed 215.5! I am still in shock at how this is actually happening for me. I am so freaking happy.
Ironically, I still think that I look the same when I look in the mirror. I wonder when my brain will catch up with my body?

Friday I had my fourth fill and i am definitely restricted! Fluids go down fine but only a 1/2 cup of really well chewed solids will go down at a time. I guess this is the point that I have been working so hard to get to. The small bites and chewing is uber important now!
 The weight is starting to come off again. After a fill I drop weight and then plateau until the next fill, is how it has been working lately.  This morning I weighed 218.5!
When I weigh 215 I am gonna buy myself some more jewelry as a reward for all the hard work! So as far as the band goes, I love it. I am eating so much less than I used to eat without being hungry. Just looking a plate with my 'normal-sized' portion on it makes me queasy! I don't have as strict a diet as people I know that had the bypass; I still eat carbs and occasionally sweets. And the weigh loss has been slow but it is happening! 37 lbs in less than 4 months. i have lost 4 inches from my waist and hips.
I love my band!

This morning the scale said 219!!!!!! I am so happy. I am starting to shop in regular sized stores and some of the clothes even fit. I feel lighter and less tired. I know it has been a lot of hard work but I also can't believe that it is actually happening for me. I hope the band helps me never see the 220s again! What a great day!!!!!

I have been hanging out here in the 222-223s for a while now. I think this is going to be a pattern of lose 5 lbs and plateau after every fill. Still, it does fill good to be in the 220s after years in the 250s so I can't complain much. I need to pay more attention to what I am putting in, but things are going good. I can truly say now, I love my band!
