T-Minus 6 months in counting! Well, if all goes well!

Jul 08, 2015

Before I go into my blog I have to say I LOST 12 POUNDS since!!!

I had my initial consultation with Dr. Vig and I think I am in love. Not in the way you would love your spouse obviously but wow. I think I found a doctor who actually sits down with his patients and isn’t afraid to stick around with them and pick their brain knowing there is more in there. Where did they hide these types of doctors? I love my PCP he is caring too as much but this one stayed until I ran out of steam or questions that I could form from my brain to my mouth. I think I threw a bunch at him too. I have more too as do my friends and family. Time will show it. I’m already for this but patience is a virtue and who doesn’t love a virtuous woman lol. In the meantime it’s Monday afternoon off to the Dietician and find out what I need to eat and not eat. Fasting Lab work too! Yay Needles! That’s always a fun one.

So, in all I am happy. I am on the right track. Great doctors. Great people. I am ready!

And away we go!!!

Jun 26, 2015

Here I am 8 years later I picked it up heavier and weary but not for not I hope. I got my inital appointment with my bariatric surgeon Dr. James P. Viglianco on July 8 at 1:30 pm. I have ballooned up to at my highest 537lbs at one point. but I am not going to let that slow me down. I am moving and shaking and working out 4 times a week with water aerobics and eating smarter and I have now lost 30 pounds in a month!!! I now weigh 507. Yes, it is still a lot but it's a HUGE accomplishment for me. I am proud of me!

depressed

Jun 15, 2007

Well, So much for my journey to a better body. My husband changed jobs to be closer to the family. He was in new orleans we were in Texas. he found a good job here but Now that Ihave talked with the new insurance I found they will not pay for the surgery. It is an exclusion. All the work and hopes I put into it for nothing. I guess I am doomed to stay big the rest of my life(however long that is). It is not fair. I have tried.I jus  cant do it. I cant afford to finance the surgery and I cant run to mommy or daddy because they are in the same financial situation we are. It just makes me sick thinking about it. God knows how many times today I have cried because of it. Good thing I dont drink. I would be drunk right now.

The old saying "life isnt fair." Boy it rings true so loud right now. I am at the  end of my rope.
