I did it!!  I got approved!!  I am so excited.  My doctors office is waiting for the offical paperwork saying I'm approved which is in the mail and I should be given a date.  It will most likely be in early June. I can't do it before then because I don't want to have surgery in the middle of my sons tee ball season.  I just want to cry I am so happy!!!!  Here's to a new life!

Today I made my appointment with my surgeon!  January 6th!!  I also have an appointment with my PCP to start my 6 months Dr. supervised diet today!  I can't believe I am actually doing this.  I am so scared, but can't wait to feel good and run and play with my son, have the energy to keep my house clean, just have energy and feel good!!!  

Edit:  I saw my PCP and afterward my insurance called and said they told me wrong and I DO NOT have to do a 6 month diet.  Now I have to find 5 years of weight history and I've moved quiet a bit so not sure about that.  Hope I don't get turned down because of that.  I know I have atleast 3 years.

Well, today is the day I finally got up my nerve and submitted my insurance information to my Dr.  I should here back in 7-10 days about further testing/diets.  I'm pretty sure I will have to do a 6 month Dr. supervised diet.  I am not sure about how my insurance is going to work (I'm also waiting for them to call me back).  They cover 90% of everything!!!!  I sure pray that they accept me as a candidate, I am so ready to get this journey underway.  As I was decorating the Christmas tree tonight and getting tired I was thinking to myself hopefully next year I will not be tired and really enjoy all of this!!  Here's to a start!
