September 11th

Today I was able to get my Iron Infusion.. according to my surgeon, I am in need of extra iron..things have been moving along. This Pre Open Diet is not my ideal of nutrition... but I believe I'm getting the hang of things..Almost time .

August 26th

Yesterday was my second visit with my surgeon.  I was scared jumping on the scale, but then I was even shocked just knowing that the weight is just coming off much easier with exercising and light weights.  I had lost another 13 lbs since my last doctor visit on August 13th.  I am just amazed on how determined I am to get this surgery.  Doctor mentioned that my liver had softened and shrunk since the last visit.  That means I am doing just fine.  Only downfall is that my IRON, VITAMIN D, VITAMIN A, and I had to inject myself with B12 Shot in the office to get the hand of it ... wheww I FREAKED out lol... I guess I am going to inject myself ONCE a week for 3 months...also since my IRON is so low I will be having to Iron  INFUSIONS "HOW FUN" lol

I will update more when I am closer to my surgery date.  OCTOBER 14th is the day :)

I am finally on my journey to weight loss surgery.

On July 30th my insurance was faxed all my paperwork from surgeons office.  This waiting period is killing me  Lately I have been just on my pre op diet ordered from the doctor. One week of High Protein low carb...two weeks of clear fluid liquid diet whewwwww crazy at first but now its a breeze. 

I have one more appointment coming up on the 11th and 13th of August.  Pulmonary Consultants for Breathing test and then get clearance from doctor for my lungs.  THEN ALL DONE!!!!! Yayy finally.

I have to lose as much weight I can to get my surgery or lets just say 40 pounds was my 10% needed.

I will keep you all updated as I approach my date for surgery.

July 31st

Today I started my day going through blood draw, urine sample, upper ultrasound, yukkk swallow test gross and echocardiogram.

Things are going smoothly and my journey to getting surgery is near :)

July 23rd

Today was my psychological evaluation. Dr Petek was a great doctor. Evaluated and tested today but the paper testing was the longest part of appointment. True and false testing can be tricky but easy. Might have been doing my SAT'S over again lol. After reports get faxed to my surgeons office...all papers will be submitted to insurance. :)

Made my appointments for LABS..RADIOLOGY..CARDIOLOGY.. RESPIRATORY..

Everything is moving along quite well..!!!!

Today I had my Endoscopy and all is well. Other than finding two polyps and fixing a hernia...I never knew I had these, glad he removed my polyps :) 

Best part of the hospital recovery room was getting to finally drink!!! Yes I was more thirsty than hungry. AND I LOST 11 POUNDS which FINALLY gets me under 400!!! Embarassing but 396 was better than 407..

I was so proud of myself. Long road ahead of me!!

Overall... my day was just peachy. Lol 

I will update after my next appointment this Wednesday for my Psychological Evaluation.

Doctor has me on this diet called the "Sandwich Diet" he wants me to lose 40 pounds before surgery. This is going to be a rough ride but I have faith in myself. The food gremlins keep calling me ughh!! I keep telling myself...drink..drink...then drink some more!! Then it goes away. I have to keep focused.

Need to keep busy and stay occupied and not let the food control me. Wish me luck on my upcoming successful weeks, I sure need it OH.

I met with my surgeon today for my first consultation !! It went very good. Dr Srikanth and staff are an amazing team. Appointment was scheduled at 8 am, but 730 am walked in filled out paperwork and was called back right away :) I lost 2 pounds less than a week. Was a great feeling to continue losing rather than gaining. Dr. and I went over my medical history. DS is my option and it will definitely be the best in WL for me. 

On Monday..July 21st I am scheduled for an EGD and series of testings.

Thursday.. July 23rd scheduled for my psychological evaluation. After these are done ..ALL PAPERS WILL BE SUBMITTED!! Should have a DATE soon!! I am happy for my journey.

I start the so called diet ...High Protein & Low Carb ..aka... "SANDWICH DIET" today for one week then...2 weeks of clear fluid diet...back to High protein & Low Carb diet.

 7/14/2014 ....I attended Weight Loss surgery Seminar today in Federal Way.  Dr. Srikanth is sure a great speaker. First impression - Funny and great sense of humor :) I will be meeting him this week for my 1st Consultation.  I am excited on sitting one on one to go over the surgery options.  I will update more after Thursday.
