Tomorrow is the day.  11:30 is the time.  I'm ready.  I'm a little nervous but not as much as I thought I would be.  The blood work from the hospital showed I had bacteria in my stomach so the doc prescribed some medicine which turned out to be 14 packs of 8 pills.  Yes pills that I don't know how I will swallow.  Called the doc and he said it won't be a problem.

I spend the day today visiting with Dr. Macik and his staff getting ready for pre-op and then checked in at the hospital and got pre-admitted.  This is real.  I got all my measurements today.  I am a short fat square.  I will take a before photo.  I really want to do that.  I went to Adminissions at the hospital and gave the lady behind the counter my paperwork and she said Dr. Macik is her doctor.  She is having surgery too with him in January.  She said he is a great doc.  Made me feel a lot better about things.  Signed all the consent forms and got all my instructions.  I need to get my scrip filled for the liquid pain meds and the chewable vitamins and my doc wants me to take one baby asprin every day. 

I got my surgery date - 12/3/08.  I can't wait.  I'm so excited and ready to start the plan.

I've been approved by the insurance company.  Now I have to go get my cardio, pulminary and upper GI series.  Dr office said once I have the dates for these tests, call them and they will get my surgery on the books.  One worry.  Dr. Macik has only done 10 vsg .  Should I worry?
